House & Garden Love

I'm in love!  I just discovered this house and garden in Atlanta Homes and Lifestyles magazine, and I am smitten.  Because it's spring, I have been focusing much more on landscape and gardens than I have been on interiors....both in my real life and in my virtual life.  The house was built in the 1960's, designed by the architect James Means in a Virginia colonial style.  It's located in Buckhead, which is a very posh section of Atlanta.  But despite the proximity to the city,  the house and surrounding landscape of 8.7 acres maintains rural feel.  The current owners hired Jeremy Smearman and Shane Griffin of Planters to design and install the landscaping.  I love the chicken coop, the horse paddocks, and of course the pool.  The design and the plantings are a great mix of formal and informal.  OK, I'm ready to move in!
