Best Dressed

Sometimes the rooms that are the most fun to design are the small, auxiliary rooms in a house such as a pantry, a laundry room, or a dressing room.  I especially like the ones that have multi-purpose, or that create a real sense of place. Here is a selection of some of my favorite dressing rooms. 

 What's better than a chandelier and a pouf or a chaise lounge in a dressing room?

St. Patrick's day marks the beginning of spring and a sincere welcoming back of the color green into our lives...at least here in New England, we are a little desperate for the color green by mid March. House Beautiful had a great spread in their March issue of all things green.  From bright green, to acid green to mint green and everything in between.  There seems to be a new trend of lacquered green walls.  See Steven Gambrel's Entry Hall and Miles Redd's kitchen , and Markham Roberts living room below.
