House of Windsor

Recently a colleague and I were scouring the internet for kitchen ideas for a project we are doing here in Connecticut.  We came across this super chic gray kitchen designed by Windsor Smith for the Veranda House of Windsor showhouse in L.A.  I love gray and am happy that it's such a popular color at the moment.  Windsor Smith and the other designers have used gray and other colors to great affect in the showhouse.  I'm ready to move in....but I'm a bit too late, because apparently Gweneth Paltrow has purchased this home.  Lucky!  I guess she's adding it to her stable of beautiful houses...including the one in the Hamptons which was published a few years ago in Elle Decor.  But that's a post for another day.

I love the stables as art studio by Kathryn Ireland.  Beautiful.

I love the fact that the house looks modest from the outside, yet the rooms feel light, bright and spacious on the inside.  Great job team!

  1. Loved the house. Gweneth Paltrow is fortunate to have landed this one.

  2. Slate grey is a great basic colour. It is clean, sharp, modern and combines well with flashes of contrasting colours.

    Many thanks.
