One sure fire way to make this particular mom happy is a visit to the New York Botanical Gardens.
Located in the Bronx, it's an easy drive from Westchester and
Connecticut, and an even easier train ride away from anywhere in the
city. It's a great place to get ideas for your own landscape and gardens or just to enjoy the peaceful beauty of the place. The architecture is not bad either. I love the glass conservatory and the Beaux Arts main building.

What a gorgeous place! Hope you have a wonderful Mother's Day! xo
ReplyDeleteJennifer - This is one of my favorite botanical gardens in the country. A great place for all (from families to tourists to gardeners) to visit. I wish I lived closer. The Victorian glass conservatory is really spectacular. Thank you for posting about this wonderful gem!
ReplyDeleteCheers from DC,

*sigh*... lovely structure. I have not seen conservatories in the USA before, but then I have never visited New York's Botanical Gardens either. Due you know when it was designed, by whom and if it was modelled on an older conservatory somewhere else?
ReplyDeletethanks for the links
